Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas honors St. Cyril and St. Methodius with Bulgarian community leaders
Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas will host an event at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 24, at the Treasurer’s Office, 118 N. Clark St., Chicago, to celebrate the Bulgarian alphabet, language and culture.
Pappas and Svetoslav Stankov, Consul General of Bulgaria, and Kina Bagovska, Honorary Deputy Cook County Treasurer, will unveil her office’s new brochure in Bulgarian available at cookcountytreasurer.com.
“The 27 new multi-lingual informational brochures assist homeowners to better understand the complex property tax system,” Pappas said.
Pappas, in collaboration with the Magura Cultural Center, will open an exhibition of Bulgarian art. The exhibition, available until June 24, will feature Bulgarian artists and photographers such as:
