The Cook County Treasurer’s Office provides payment status for current tax years and the ability to pay online.

Property Description

Search for information about the property:

• Property location
• Township, tax rate and tax code
• Property classification
• Estimated property value and total assessed value
• Building and lot size, where applicable
• Tax bill mailing address associated with the property

Tax Exemptions

Exemptions can reduce your tax bill. By performing the search you will see a 5-year history of the exemptions applied to your PIN.

Refund Search

Search for potential refunds or overpayment associated with your property. This tool identifies duplicate tax payments or overpayments for which a refund may be obtainable. If you find a refund available, please follow the instructions under “More Refund Information” to apply.

Documents, Deeds & Liens

Search for a summary of the most recent recorded documents on your property. In addition, you will see recorded documents, deeds and liens available for purchase from the Cook County Clerk's website.

Tax Appeals, Dates & Deadlines

Search for information regarding the acceptance of Tax Appeals at the Assessor’s Office and at the Board of Review as well as if an appeal was filed with either office.

Tax Rates

Tax rates are calculated by the Clerk’s Office based on the tax levies submitted by the county's taxing districts and the valuation of properties within those districts.
